HDAV
Bettinsoli look great, quality does not match the appearance, £500 used will always be better vfm, lanber, franchi, Lincoln, FIAS (medalist), I would stay away from huglu, revo & W&S (pointer & other names) ATA are unknown but do get praise. More important than brand is fit as the most reliable gun is no good if you can't hit a barn door! https://www.guntrader.co.uk/mobile/gunDetail.php?NewGunID=140614083620001&skipNo=0&perPage=60&Filter%5BNewType%5D%5B%5D=Shotgun&Filter%5BNewMechanism%5D%5B%5D=Over+and+Under&Filter%5BCalibre%5D%5B%5D=12+gauge&Filter%5BMake%5D%5B%5D=Franchi&sortField=poa&sortOrder=asc https://www.guntrader.co.uk/mobile/gunDetail.php?NewGunID=140617135618001&skipNo=0&perPage=60&Filter%5BNewType%5D%5B%5D=Shotgun&Filter%5BNewMechanism%5D%5B%5D=Over+and+Under&Filter%5BCalibre%5D%5B%5D=12+gauge&Filter%5BMake%5D%5B%5D=Lincoln&sortField=poa&sortOrder=asc https://www.guntrader.co.uk/mobile/gunDetail.php?NewGunID=140830143917001&skipNo=0&perPage=60&Filter%5BNewType%5D%5B%5D=Shotgun&Filter%5BNewMechanism%5D%5B%5D=Over+and+Under&Filter%5BCalibre%5D%5B%5D=12+gauge&Filter%5BMake%5D%5B%5D=Browning&sortField=poa&sortOrder=asc Edited September 7, 2014 by HDAV
welshwarrior
HDAV throws in some good names there, but you won't get an ATA for that money. Larona are also worth a look. Buy on fit and condition not name.

Buy on fit and condition not name. Very true, ATA are £700 ish new depending on spec, give it a bit longer and you'll start to see them for £500 I recon, https://www.guntrader.co.uk/mobile/gunDetail.php?NewGunID=140801154554302&skipNo=15&perPage=60&Filter%5BNewType%5D%5B%5D=Shotgun&Filter%5BNewMechanism%5D%5B%5D=Over+and+Under&Filter%5BCalibre%5D%5B%5D=12+gauge&Filter%5BMake%5D%5B%5D=Laurona&sortField=poa&sortOrder=asc

chrispti
These Revo guns have had some good reviews.... http://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/category/Guns/Revo_1/Shotgun_1/
chacotawas
Sooner or later on threads like this somebody says to get in touch with Wabbitbosher on this forum. That's because it's good advice. I think he sells Revos at very good prices but his specialism is good used guns at remarkably good prices. Hamster
Laurona or Winchester at that money, better than the likes of Bettinsoli, be prepared for the odd firing pin repair on the latter, be prepared to have to do nothing to the other. neutron619
You might just get a Yildiz for that kind of money. Mine has served me well thus far, and at least - like some of the ones mentioned above - they're still manufactured, so spare parts won't be an issue if it breaks. Multichoke and steel proof as standard. Edited September 8, 2014 by neutron619
