I'm very Very new to the sport....in fact I've only been out once on my own so need some guidance.....does anyone know what it's like? And will they welcome complete novices like myself....can't hit much but enjoy trying

B725
It is a nice friendly place they will make any one welcome from a novice to G Digweed if he went and it is not expensive compared to some other places.

HSV_V8
Unfortunately i'm away this week but if you go in the future give me a shout as i'm close by there, its a good, friendly ground as everyone else has said, they send you around with a lad to operate the traps and score you although I believe lessons are available too. Also Notts district club is also good and I had an instructor score me around the sporting course last time and had a few handy tips for free. Can't go wrong with either ground but as someone else said Notts is shut on Mon & Tues.

Shooterluke
Its like a compact sporting 40 bird layout 5 stands last time i was there (i stand corrected but roger designed the course for the big competition that digweed shot an so on in the late 90s )its good and testing worth a go nick http://www.cockettfarm.com/sporting.html Beretta of this forum also shot it
