HDAV
IT can be done (cast) but toe cannot (from what i am told) and its at your risk, they can snap, hot oil can be used so refinishing probably required afterwards anyway, is there a palm swell? bjlfishing
There is no Palm swell I'm hoping it can be done as its a very well made gun in comparison to modern guns I suppose if it snaps it will be covered on the insurance so could be restocked

Gunman
There is no Palm swell I'm hoping it can be done as its a very well made gun in comparison to modern guns I suppose if it snaps it will be covered on the insurance so could be restocked I would doubt that as it would not be accidental damage ,plus the cost of restocking with the cost of the wood will make it an un economic repair . Only possibility is that you may be able to get another stock from the US but that again can be a problem .
matone
Only safe way is to re head the stock, you may get 1/4 " alteration by doing it .
Ricko
There is a gunsmith in Cheshire that I heard about. His daughter is meant to be a very good stocker from what I've heard. Whether she can do casts I don't know. It may just be restocking.
The Essex Hunter
I had my 325 pulled over 23 years ago and over time it went back and I would say the construction of using a fixing bolt must act on the timber as the bolt is pulling straight into the centre of the action... I had it nipped over again just a touch as a mate picked it up and said...I thought it was left cast and that was it!!....I had not noticed over time..I still shot very well with it but the mind is a powerful thing lol...so all better as it has a little left cast again lol TEH
mowdy
I had the stock of my Beretta 689 o/u straightened to take the cast off as I am also a Left hander. I had it done by a Gentleman called Harvey Roper who lives in Penrith. Harvey is now retired from the trade but he might have time too do your stock for you if you ask nicely . Pm me if you want his number as I have it somewhere. There is also Jim Scott at Acomb nr Hexham who does most of the stock work for the majority of gun shops etc in the North east /Cumbria area.
