E.w.
Very nice that's what you call real high birds.
JDog
I congratulate the keeper and his beating team for producing such a steady stream of fantastic high birds. As an observer, even on video, it was easy to see that the flight paths of most of those birds were not straight.
kippylawkid
Rascals them. Interested what gun/choke/cartridges you use? Some of those birds must be 60 or 70 yards at least?
b325
We were using 35 grams of number 4 through full choke. There were a few that were out of range but most were shootable i think. As JDog says the line is more difficult to judge than the lead. Rascals them.Interested what gun/choke/cartridges you use? Some of those birds must be 60 or 70 yards at least?
Duffryn
Wow - seriously high birds. What was the bad at the end - any idea of the ratio ? As mentioned above, a credit to the beaters is due.
b325
Duffryn the bag was 279, not exactly sure on the cartridges but i would think it would be around 2000.
Duffryn
A big day on both counts ! I always maintain you pay for the bangs and not the birds. What a fantastic shoot
Cranfield
They certainly show some good birds there, nice video.
ollie
Jesus its like a war zone in that video. Serious high birds and a good video, but surely there are a lot of birds which are pricked that fly on and die later. A lot of the birds you could see flinching as some of the shots rang out. I assume you would need deep pockets for a day on a shoot like that?
