daz181
The wife wants to buy me pigeon flapper from Mr Claus. After read few reviews i am not sure which flapper to go for, so I would welcome reviews from users of both models to help me decide which is the best to go for.. Thanks in advance! d. Davyo
FF4, on quality alone, it bullet proof.both will perform the same but the quality and rigidity of the FF4 way above.
lakeside1000
I have been using two A1 flappers for the last 18 months, absolutely top notch, cant remember when I last had the magnet out, I just use standard pattern of decoys with two flappers out on the edges of the pattern, works like a charm, 7 amp batteries last around 5 hours from fully charged, timers give realistic movement, never tried the ff4 so cant comment but Im well pleased with my 2. kenholland
had one from the shooting show last year, it lasted 8 hours then packed up,they sent me a new one it seems ok at the moment, make sure you have the timer with it . sometimes they get spooked when they come in, so I just switch it off, other times its ok, suck it and see daz. ....kenbo

richg
I too have an AA Decoys Turbo flapper and it has worked faultlessly for two years. On Friday i took delivery of an ff4 flapper from Flight-line decoys. I am taking it out tomorrow (Wednesday 10th) to give it a test and a review for Countrymans Weekly, It will be interesting to see how it compares as it is a totally different design. Ive got a few pigeons working a bit of old barley stubble and its forecast windy so hopefully i can bag a few but mainly see if they come to it. will report tomorrow night. peejay
aa turbo flapper with random timer £45... why pay more?
richg
Took the FF4 out and compared it with the turbo flapper. It is a different design with the working parts being external but it worked very well giving a much sharper flap than the turbo, It was easy to set up and when it flaps it also gives a slight rock from side to side, this was definitely a bit more of an eye catcher in terms of getting noticed by passing birds. I will give my full report in the Countrymans Weekly shortly. But it is well made and it is "Made in the UK" How it will fare in the long term remains to be seen but i am more than happy with it and will continue to use it. I started with 15 dead birds and the FF4 and from 8.30am til 11am when i packed up i shot 43 birds. so i was more than happy.
