Big Al
Another little outing on Lough Neagh for John and I. My shooting has been a bit dodgy of late as you will see but we still got a few.

Big Al
Good lad Al. I see the time lapse issues have been sorted. Thanks fella. I reduced the quality of the picture. It's not hd now - not that it matters in the dark we were shooting in. There are only 2 settings on the chilli cam - hi or lo. Lo seems fine. Nice morning lads.Thanks. We had a good morning despite the shooting accuracy!

Lough Neagh
Nice video and nice bag, great to see some wigeon featuring, we get very few but we are seeing more shovelers the last couple of years

I've never shot a shoveler - its the only duck on the quarry list I've never shot. I've also never shot a Canada goose.
Lough Neagh
Thanks. I've never shot a shoveler - its the only duck on the quarry list I've never shot. I've also never shot a Canada goose. I seen a Canada on the lough a couple of weeks ago for the first time, Fermanagh is full of them though, the only one I'm missing is a pintail drake, shot two ducks one morning and missed the drake! Passionforangling
Thanks for posting this. All credit to you for admitting you didn't shoot so well but you still ended up with a nice mixed bag

SuperGoose75
Enjoyed that BigAl..!! Like yourself I like Shooting the Coastal gunners duck The Wigeon' especially the Cock bird. Had my first Duck flight of the season lastweek and the only Shot i had resulted in a Cock bird. Only starting to get proper fowling weather so the first of many I hope. Out of interest'What kind of Wigeon numbers would you get on Lough Neagh..? Keep the Vids coming

All credit to you for admitting you didn't shoot so well but you still ended up with a nice mixed bag Thanks for the comment. Sadly there are more days when I shoot in a mediocre fashion at the moment, but it would be no challenge if we hit them all!
Big Al
What a comfortable place to shoot from! It certainly beats coastal fowling! After the rain a few weeks back we arrived to find the seat had washed away and we were calf deep in water in the hide. So we perched on stones and had a blast! But is still a lot more comfortable thsn the foreshore.

They tend to come more late season when the Foyle gets wilder. That's the first ive seen them this season - they decoyed very well so they can't be too long in. I have no coastal fowlibg grounds now but the longshore gunner in me always gets excited by a cock wigeon!
