That did interest me,I think he always uses 3 poles with a pointed front to the hide.I think he's inspiring a few me included.

think of an igloo with a hole at the top/front

its just my thing

Steve I hate you :P

Nice shooting Tex! Almost makes me want to take the semi out for a session...

You missed the cold woods this evening :)

Now then mucker . I should have come with you lot . I went to get set up this morning for a big session and got caught in a bloody snow blizzard stuck in the middle of nowhere tucked up under me fishing brolly waiting for it to stop . 2 hrs later snow stopped and heavy rain finished me off . So i called it haha . Spent the rest of day on sofa wi5h the right ******* hump . Going to try again tomorrow afternoon weather permitting.

How did you all do tonight?

I want a net like the ones you use, where did you get it may I ask

sorry mate I have only just seen this ,

its made up from three different MOD nets , I took them all apart and mixed up the colours and filled in the gaps ( the nets don't have a lot of cammo on them when I bought them )

Great shooting. Are you impressed with the new choke?

Thank you mate .

Yeah the choke is great . It throws a much better pattern the the standard HP chokes . Also much tighter at range to . With the right cartridge i can fold carrions at good ranges . Two of the birds in the video were 60 yards . You also get a much much higher number pellet strike . Which the maker's claim is due to a reduced shot string . I will be doing some more patterning when the weather sorts it self out .

Nice vid, Stevo. It's got me itching to shoot some woodies again.

cheers motty , yeah it was a great start, as it was my first real spot of pigeon shooting this yr so far , not for the want of trying , just struggling to see birds worth setting up for . as a rule I tend not to bother shooting while the birds are well flocked up ........ unless I can see a definite flight line of course .

Steveo, can I ask,do you use 4 poles on your hide in a diamond shape to create that head cover?

I use 5 poles

4 in a square 1 at the front , I use extendable cross members ( placed in a cross ) diagonally to support the roof ,

it can be a pain , but its how I do my hides end of ! ! everyone has there own way . but it means I can create " bad boys " like this in about 10 mins flat
