walshie
Does anyone know if Dyfed Powys police consider crop protection on your own land as "good reason" to have deer added to your .308? Thanks Edited February 4, 2015 by walshie
Scully
A letter from your landowner may go some way to making it so.

r1steele
It doesn't have to be about crop protection, the fact you have deer on your land and wish to shoot them is good reason for asking for the .308. I was in the Dyfed-Powys region for quite a few years and they had a good firearms licencing team so if they still have you shouldn't have any problems. Scully
I am the landowner. I almost wrote ' unless you're the landowner'. I can't think of a better reason to be honest.
walshie
If they won't 'allow' a .308, then ask for a .243 (unless you already have one) Already have a 308, so that would be handier than buying a 243.

Ask for the 'AOLQ' condition to be added to your current FAC and that covers you for every eventuality.
