Fisherman Mike
I've seen some strange sights when out twitching but ive never seen anything like this.. I saw a juvenile Sparrow Hawk take on a Adult Green once and it came off second best.. Just goes to show what tenacious little devils woosels are.. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/incredible-photo-shows-weasel-riding-231536581.html#xkw2aXH

Penelope
http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/306922-funny-as-if-real/ Should have entered it for the Country File calendar. Don't think it would have made it somehow.
mickyh
One very lucky Woodpecker. If the Weasel could have reached the skull it would have been lunch. I've seen them killing Hen Pheasants sat on eggs.

Don't think it would have made it somehow. haha that would have been brilliant, especially as they probably told everyone that weasels only eat carrion and cheese sandwiches. malkiserow
That really is quite amazing. In fact, even more amazing that this one of a octopus coming out the water to grab a crab http://youtu.be/Ar5WJrQik2o Edited March 3, 2015 by malkiserow

malkiserow
I am surprised the Weasel has not got it's jaws clamped on the back of the Woodpeckers neck. I wonder if he was singing that "I stuck my finger ..."

islandgun
I once saw a pet rabbit trying to bonk their pet cat.... My brother had a cat and rabbit which lived symbiotically in the garden, the rabbit dug small holes which the cat used as a toilet, I hope the cat offered protection to the small white rabbit, although it was a swine of a rabbit and attacked me once without provocation. regarding the photo the woodpecker does look suitably surprised perhaps too surprised!
