neillfrbs
what a race ,nice to see rossi back on the top step. i think cal crutchlow will regret leaving ducati ,that bike looks well fast ,like the good old stoner days ,Audi have turned that bike around. Honda seemed a bit slow in comparison .looks like it is going to be a good season .
fruity
A superb first race , as said Ducati have really upped there game now Audi have pulled money in .. But it's early days yet I think , if Marquez hadn't of run wide he would still have Been on the podium , fast Ducati or not Rossi had a cracker

shalfordninja33
Are the Dukes still running to open class rules this year? I.e more fuel and softer tyres.
timps
Are the Dukes still running to open class rules this year? I.e more fuel and softer tyres. Yes they are, but that changes if they get three third-placed podiums, two second places or a single race win in dry conditions, then their fuel will drop to 22 litres but they keep the soft tyre. So one more podium and they lose the fuel advantage. Three race wins and they then lose the soft tyre. They do look to have made a huge step forward, But one race a season does not make........or summat like that
sheene7
I wonder how long it will be before Crutchlow is moaning about the Honda ? I used to really enjoy watching him when he was in WSB , but not so keen on him since he's been in Moto GP , always seems to blame the bike, especially when his team mate is beating him
nobbyathome
looks like this year is going to be a cracker shame danni pedrosa suffers from arm pump looks like thats his career gone as he has had to many ops to sort it in my opinion rossi is the greatest rider ever and at 36 looks like he is up for another year hope he stays upright

mickyh
Where was Miller? I had high hopes for him, still early days. I've got my tickets for Mugello and can not wait!
sheene7
Where was Miller? I had high hopes for him, still early days. I've got my tickets for Mugello and can not wait! He was running quite low down the order, around 20th I think , then he crashed on the last lap . Hopefully he will get to grips with the bike fairly quickly ,unless he has moved up to the big bikes too soon ? He was always good to watch on the Moto 3 bike . Have they been having problems with a light front end to have winglets fitted , or is just added some extra down force ?
timps
Have they been having problems with a light front end to have winglets fitted , or is just added some extra down force ? The commentary team on BT sport were not too sure with several theories, but James Toseland said it was to aid speed/acceleration down the back straight. The anti wheelie electrics were cutting power as the bike was trying to wheelie in the high gears and the wings were to combat that, no idea if he was right. Whatever they actually do they tested with and without over the free practice and used them in the race. Seems to to the trick either way, I suppose Ducati aren't going to discuss it to much , all cloak and dagger
88b
Highlights are repeated again tonight at 6 on ITV 4 . Great race, the Ducati's were fast, the Yamahas have always been a little under powered.
mickyh
I'm bringing this thread back to life because I'm off to Mugello on Saturday morning for Sundays race. I've got General Admission tickets. Which mean basically standing on the Meadows/Grassy areas. Does anyone know the best place to watch from? Thanks Mick.

onefulham
Enjoyed ITV4's re run last night just as much as Sundays and I got to see the other races which I was too busy to really watch on Sunday, even my wife who hates bikes, never rode and never will, loves MotoGP now, had to laugh when she was explaining to her Sister that the Ducati's are faster on the straight but get caught braking on the corners ! But three hours to get out of the circuit! On the Italian coast now until the end of the week chilling out in Viareggio. Back to Blighty on Saturday What a great trip, not jealous at all :o)Everyone says that this is the track with the best atmosphere , Silverstone is a bit dull to me, though never been for MotoGP, used to get complimentary tickets for the F1, don't mind it but I feel there is more drama and overtaking in one MotoGP lap than in a whole F1 race !
