My Four Year Old, Needs No Encouragement!

The Easter holidays are apon us and I've had my daughter today, so what's a guy to do?

Well the dogs needed a walk up the farm and grandparents are always a good bet as we know, but they had a funeral to go too. So it was down to me to entertain her. First up was a field walk and to be honest it was cold, not the best weather to keep children amused. Back to the farm house for a cup of tea and the six million dollar question.

Q. "What would you like to do"

A. "You got ya gun with us haven't you"

Q. "I do, Why!"

A. "Let's shoot some pesky crow"

Awesome child!

Had a drive down the farm road and found out I have no need of a retriever dog any time soon. Shot a couple of rooks and Willow insisted collected our bounty.

Great way to spend the morning.

Andrew.

Good on you, looks like she enjoyed the day :-).

My 3 year old likes to come for the walk and the carrying too - amazing really how their minds work. I am just being very careful to maintain the balance about why we have to kill things and what we do with them (i.e eat them).

Kids seem to have a passion for mud and puddles - perfect for taking shooting in my eyes.
