unico1
Any one got any ideas for remote control for promatic clay trap, mines just gone bang.It was from morris electrics and a new one is £150 plus. I know there are cheaper ones but don't know if they have the range? Wondered if any one has made one using maplin bits that work and are cheaper? Thanks

Danger-Mouse
My mate rigs up remotes for clay traps. He uses cheap garage door remotes from evilbay. I think they cost about £5. Not sure what range they have on them though.
welshwarrior
Best I found is the fire trap system. This one http://www.rfsolutions.co.uk/acatalog/FireTRAP_Release_Systems.html Reliable robust and has a good range used it at over 300m before now. I'll be buy more. unico1
I did send it away, he said it was in repairable. It's strange because it works up to 20 MTS then nothing. Have done the obvious, battery etc but still no good. Think I might try maplin one. Do they have them in store or online?

oliver90owner
''it works up to 20 MTS then nothing'' Certainly not gone bang! That likely means it is either the antenna or rf output stage that is faulty. May only need a bit of tuning to raise the rf output.
