Wooden pallet high seat

I've just been reading an article in this month's (June edition) of Sporting Rifle Gun magazine, on how to make a high seat by just using 9 good quality wooden pallets and a few extras. It looks good too, and is simple to make. I may have a crack at making one myself.

I made my own portable last year, from a folding ladder, a folding chair and some tubes and odds & ends, but I do think I would like to leave one or two out.

That's because you used 10 pallets. You are only supposed to use 9.

You can use two IBCs, the one the bottom half full of water for stability, remove tank and wrap a bit of cammo net round remaining cage and wire on top then cut a firing slot and an entrance hole, add a little set of steps and some pipe lag for a rest and you're away.

Or a pile of tractor tyres, with some wooden planks in for standing and sitting on.

iv made one of them on 1 of my perms due to it being quiet flat,, I have used 16 pallets and put on a wooden balcony type round it with a ally ladder to help me get in,,also it's built just under the edge of the barn so I'm protected from the elements if it turns bad! It also gives me a 240* field of view across my land.id post a few pics to show u but I DNT understand how to put them on

My advice is to re-claim the wood from the pallets, just knock out the nails which can be straightened for use again later.

Add a few fence posts and a bit of straw and you can knock up something quite comfortable.
