Richie10
Hi, Looking to go on a Wildfowling holiday where I can get to the foreshore. Been on wildfowling holidays before for the Pinks up Scotland but looking to going on the foreshore. Now this being a bit different this time and going to be taking the wife. Looked into Wigtown before which is near the Galloways forest park so things to do other than fowling and hopefully some restaurants aswell. Any other ideas? Would like to go to the wash, but not sure if I can keep the wife entertained. Cheers
Penelope
Richie, of the two I'd suggest Wigtown would be the best for a mixed holiday. kent
Wigton all the way if wife is going! We used to up there a lot Stalking and fowling and wife and kids loved it lots of other stuff in area and no shortage of good food and suitable hotels that are used to Fowlers. Just a word, think outside of geese for a flight or two there is some decent ducking to be had also

What with bar skittles , preparing vegetables for your meals , clubbing and getting ( inter coursing ) sounds ideal. One more question if you don't mind , Where would you recommend staying .....Bridge Hotel ?
JDog
Carrot topping, potato riddling, seal clubbing and hare coursing? Norfolk should have been my preferred destination not Lincolnshire.

You could stay in the bridge hotel but would have to squat as its been closed some time , soon to be demolished for housing I am told Carrot topping, potato riddling, seal clubbing and hare coursing? Their even worse over the border JDog , young men's entertainment over there of an evening usually involves their sisters

Barls2-9-12
I took my wife on our honeymoon to Scotland wildfowling. She was really impressed and she even shot her first duck lol
Richie10
I think she is starting to regret the decision now. lol She used to come on shooting holidays in Devon. I think wildfowling might be just a bit too much. Thanks for all the input I will keep it in mind.
Penelope
I took my GF out for a morning flight last December on the North Norfolk coast. She says it's the coldest she has ever been. It was a bit frosty but not that bad, although she does say that she is keen to come out again. I think she is starting to regret the decision now. lol She used to come on shooting holidays in Devon. anser2
Has she thawed out yet Peneope, it was pretty nippy that morning and its not realy warmed up this year yet. Frost last night and apart from the odd warmer day its been very cool for months. I hope the cold and lack of fowl has not put her off coastal fowling. Let me know if you are up this way again and perhaps I am free and we pick a morning with no full moon and the right tide we could have a bit better luck. Penelope
Just about Robert. She is still keen on the idea, so who knows. Now that we have a dog, there will be some incentive for her, apart from being with me that is, obviously. We had planned to return as we enjoyed our visit to the area, so thank you for the offer. kent
The thing with wildfowling, seatrout fishing and such is they don't generally take place in the middle of the day. So that's winter and summer holidays sorted!
