powler
Just got my first firearm today CZ455 .17hmr. Chuffed and can't wait to get out on the weekend to zero it in. Can i ask what would you guys recommend to use to hold the targets in place? I have some half inch ply and some bulldog clips but thinking the ply will fall apart in no time, also what range is good for zeroing? Thanks Mick
billytheghillie
Mick, I use those For Sale boards on a couple of sticks, with a Birchwood Casey shoot n see target on it, make sure you have a safe back stop behind it. I zeroed my .17 at 100 yards. good luck and happy shooting.

steve_b_wales
Look up 'Jammit target board & stand'. I have had mine for years, and its lasted well.
powler
Thanks for the feedback guys, this give me a idea of trying to knock something up as we use lots of the corragated cardboard at work so could attached it and have it hanging down from a cross member with some heavy bulldog clips(got loads), that way would have little bit of swing to it. If that fails will look at the Jammit board you said about Steve. Thanks guys much appreciated. Mick
WelshMike
I am a cheapskate and use a large cardboard box and tape the targets to the front. If it is windy you can put a metal peg through the bottom of the box. When it is full of holes get another one.
Lloyd90
Correx board (the type of material they use for estate agents signs outside houses) duct taped with two bamboo canes running down either side. I can push the canes into the ground and it stands up straight. Then I just bought a box or air rifle target cards (about £5) and clip em on Edited June 26, 2015 by Bigthug87

Les*1066
That's a nice looking rifle, Mick! You won't go wrong with a CZ - they are great rifles, and I'm sure you'll get many years of service out of yours.

This ones a a keeper for me. Put 125 rounds throught it and was getting about a 1.5 inch group at 100yds, not brilliant but it was me not the gun. towards the end the groups were getting tighter so prasctice is needed. I knocked up a target holder form some old gazebo poles, just screwed in some bulldog clips and used that to hold the cardboard, then used a pritt stick to hold the target on the cardboard. One thing I will do is stop using these targets and draw some 2 inch crosses using a narrow marker on paper so at 100yds I can see clearly where the shot went as at times I couldn't see clearly where it went if it hit a black line.
