Suffolk shooter
This morning I handed in my notice to resign my position and leave at the end of April. I have to say that I feel so much better for doing so as well. For sometime now I have been struggling owing to the long hours and distances I have to travel as part of the job, and not seeing the family started to take its toll both on me and my wife and kids. There's more to life than work I have taken a position at a company, which is more responsibility, more money and less hours and travelling. The other thing about moving is that my new position will be a stone's throw from Parkford Shooting ground, so I'll be able to get a round in each night before going home. That way I still get to shoot a lot, but also means I can spend time at the weekend with my family. Cheers SS

MC
The only downside is you are working in Brightlingsea which is almost as bad as Tollesbury for inbreeding
Suffolk shooter
MC, I know can't get away from the Essex Mafia On the plus side at least I get to leave every night and not stay there (insert shivering with fright smilie here). MC
His calculator is no good, it is one designed for a surveyor which means it only takes away.
Suffolk shooter
His calculator is no good, it is one designed for a surveyor which means it only takes away. Now, Now. It only takes away for Subbies, but adds on for clients. Mungler would know all about adding on in his line of work, eh!! Markio, Good idea mate, will talk about it a bit nearer the time. Fridays we finish early, so why not. I plan to shoot as many days as I can. SS
Dunkield
This may sound a bit wierd SS, but when the thread was going about your clay shooting, I <was> going to ask about stress/pressure etc. I had a right **** time a few years back and used to get out shooting to take my mind off it, it didn't work I shot like a complete t**t and got even more cheesed off. I bet, even if you do nothing else, your new state of mind will see your scores go up

Time will tell, let's face it my scores can't get any worse than there currently are. CAN THEY :: SS Taffygun, Company Credit Card, but no 4x4 although I did ask for a new Range Rover Vogue or Discovery HSE6. SS
MC
Why would we think it is an excuse?
Catamong
Well done SS, Brightlingsea, yes, I know it well, spent many a happy hour drinking in the bar at Point Clear Caravan Park, with all of the Basildon Caravan owning Mafia. Seriously though, it's very difficult for most people to get that work / life balance sorted, I've been fortunate in the past in that I used to work very close to both a Golf Course and a Shooting Ground, and I used to nip out at lunchtime for a quick 6 or 7 holes, or a couple of rounds of Olympic Trap or 50 Sporting, it makes the rest of the working day go so quick..!! Cat. Sounds Great! I work in West London and there's plently of shooting around here. Trouble is not very much of it involves traps or clays! Seriously, nice one SS!
