Dunkield
OK so they aren't pictures of dead stuff, but as it was such a nice day yesterday I took the camera with me on the dog walk - that normally means you see nothing worth taking a picture of. So we sat down at the top of this small hill and 2 kites were just playing chase about 30 feet above us, spectacular stuff even though we are used to seeing them every day. And an arty one, coming out of the sun This gives an idea of how low they hunt
Stealth Stalker
I was out your way yesterday as well & must have seen the very same birds, around the Marlow area? Lovely looking birds, I've never seen them before around my neck of the woods. SS

SS Indeed SS, to be precise on the humourously named 'Cock Marsh', the Cookham side of the Thames I have seen as many as 6 Kites working one small paddock before now, but I never have my camera with me when that happens. They are spreading slowly from where they were re-introduced but it is a slow process. The most densely populated area is still arround the M40 near Christmas Common, as anyone coming down from Birmingham way will have seen. SS we've got some near Whitwell, so not far from St Albans, cracking birds to watch though I always get a little concerned when they're over the top of the Jack Russels
