Normally this time of year if cereals are being grown behind my garden sooner or later the pigeon start taking an interest and can often be seen sitting on the wires that run across the field just behind my fence.

I have started to notice a few this week so it was high time the Hw 97kt had some work.

I managed four this evening between watching the telly and having a cuppa :good: all taken with my favourite head / neck shots

It is not unknown for me to shoot 30 odd in a week like this if they start showing in numbers , I do not keep any records but the pigeon my Hw has accounted for must run well into the 100s .

Good sport with a real airgun. Mind you my 97 is real one with the proper stock lol

Kidding, jealous really.

A lot of people do not like the Hw thumbhole stocks due to the large cut out, but I get on very well with it and will own this particular gun until I can no longer lift it !

You cant beat that, sat having a cuppa plus the odd pigeon from your garden. Always a bonus if you needed a few decoys quick.

I would just like to point out I do not shoot pigeons in my garden , it is a safe haven for them !

One of my permissions runs right up to my back fence and the power cables runs over it , I have always had a self imposed rule that they are safe in the garden but not if they are feeding on the field . :good:
