Most place charge around the £200 mark. Lad in Oldham does them for about half - tidy job too. Had a couple done by him about 4/5 years ago - better than factory job.

You can get brave and do your own. I have done 6 I think. Just the cost of the mechanism.

I don't know where the high price comes from. I have done a Blaser in one hour, aside from glue setting. Anyone who does them regularly and has the jigs set up - 15 minutes.

I wish I could do them in 15 mins takes about 1 hour of straight forward the unit cost about £65.

Did a beretta 20 bore recently.

Fill stock bolt hole and reinforce stock that's 2 piece of wood turn to fit the stock then glued in place 30 mins.

Jig and cut stock, sand 20 mins route out and stock and comb top including pillar and stop screw inlets.

Make good matching stocks finish. 20 -30 mins

Make new longer stock bolt 20 mins.

Maybe I'm slow but never had a complaint most feel £200 is resonable.

And the overheads

Machines

Tools

Insurance

And if it goes wrong pear shaped

The comeback

I would think £200 is a good price 😋

All the best
