Ditchman has lost it ..completly !

put oil in the old gull today and did all the tightening up of tubes nuts bolts and stuff.........turned it over for 10 secs four or five times and the oil is coming out of the rockers which is just the job...the pump is working..........shame i havnt the oil gauge yet...least i know its getting oil and not spewing it out on the floor or up the vacumn pump.. :lol:

 

another little milestone...........tomorrow alll the injectors will be done and shoved in place..........

dunt you a wurry boh.............all im a doin' is getting everything sorted.........the injectors need doing, the fuel system needs priming...the injector pump hasnt run for 2 years...that needs to be run up without the injectors,...then run up without the injectors in to see if they are misting proper...im trying to find a bit of cable thick enough to take the voltage for the heater plugs......doing a jury rig for the starter..(sort of a fancy "hot wire")

 

so im not there yet............WHITEBRIDGES wants to witness the "event" and hasnt replied yet....then i need to brush out the shed and lay out the red carpet for your goodself....and hoover the damn thing...........the list is endless my boy

i rekon skimming done OUT.......THE REASON IS THE hot spots are much thinner than they used to be and if you did them in....and they were skimmed it would thin them out even more................you can leave the roll pin in as they go deeper than the head..........anyway they are ny near impossible to get out.....then i would skim the shoulder of the hot spot ..to suit

Question

 

 

i know nothing about DPS/rotary injector pumps..............inline pumps are easy

 

 

the rotary pump.........can the pump pressure be altered, or is it constant....and the only thing to be altered is the metering..............

If there is I don't know it, increase fuel metering yes, pressure not that I know

If it's struggling to atomise then may be the cam plate is worn, easy enough for someone like yourself to check

cheers for that............downloaded it .........there is NO WAY im going to touch that pump !!......its going in for repair..............
