Have seen a benelli SBE advertised that I'm going to look at tomorrow. Would just like some guidance are they ok? And is there another semi auto to consider ? kiffy Posted September 17, 2015 Report Share Posted September 17, 2015 a quality gun but one i couldnt get on with.. i couldnt hit the side of a barn with mine, selling was the ebst move i ever made, but that was me.. my mate got on ok when he tried it. useless for fowling though as they rust so easy but should be perfect for pigeons i would still prefer a gas semi though, i saw a huge difference moving onto gas after the inertia of the SBE Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I`ve had it for almost 10 years now and it has always worked. As has been said, the black one`s do tend to rust quite severely externally whilst the camo ones don`t. Beware the Benelli Click - where the bolt has either not fully returned when loading or has been jarred slightly open and the hammer falls on fresh air and not the cartridge primer. Carefully read the manual. The loading sequence for a Benelli is different from other auto`s specifically to avoid the "click." Iggy Posted September 18, 2015 Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 I've owned a Supersport, which I 'believe' is the clay versions of the SBE (more or less) for about 5 years no and it has never, ever missed a beat. No mis feeds, failures to eject etc - the complete opposite to an A400 Xcel I once owned which was very temperamental.
