B25Modelman
My experience with the dealers. Some, go all out to answer questions and provide additional information and pictures. do not reply. show the wrong gun for the description. reply saying, we are very busy and will reply when we can. show very poor quality pictures. are good hagglers. do not want to haggle. also have trouble with Browning customer service There are probably more but it's a start
walshie
Wouldn't that apply to dealers of any merchandise?
B25Modelman
Wouldn't that apply to dealers of any merchandise? Yes, but as this is a Topic in Guns and Equipment, I have aimed it at traders in that field. Edited October 22, 2015 by B25Modelman
sportsbob
So to the op you have made a statement but what do you expect for a reply as you have not asked a question. Edited October 22, 2015 by sportsbob
B25Modelman
I am sure admin or the mods will remove or move my post if they feel it is inappropriate. But if you read it does state 'my experience'. I did not say what questions were asked but I think it obvious I asked them something. Vince Green
With a few shining exceptions, my experience of gunshops in general has not been brilliant. Second hand guns are very much like second hand cars.
triumphant59
Some don't deserve to sell anything. I emailed a trader on Guntrader recently asking for 6 photos showing condition/quality of a sxs 28g. After 4 times of asking they managed 4 very poor quality photos! Is it so difficult? B25Modelman
3 days ago I emailed one dealer to ask the age of a s/h gun and more info on warranty. I had had previous discussions with the dealer who had emailed me additional pics. I subsequently purchased a brand new gun from another dealer because of the extra warranty and very little price difference. I am still interested in buying their s/h gun because of its condition and model spec but have heard nothing back. Also 3 days ago I emailed another dealer for additional pics also of a s/h gun and have heard nothing.
kenholland
maybe just carn't be bothered if they take enough money through the front door?
Whitebridges
Guntrader seems to be used as another "shop window". Some companies literally duplicate their stock. What's on Guntrader is also on their own website. From what I hear it's quite expensive to use it. This probably puts a lot of dealers off. I hunted down my Parazzi on Guntrader and then after several e-mails and telephone calls made an appointment to visit the dealer who happened to be in Kent. I approached other dealers who were not on the job. Some didn't bother to reply. Chris Potter were absolutely superb! An easy choice. Guntrader?? walshie
Yes, but as this is a Topic in Guns and Equipment, I have aimed it at traders in that field. I realise that. I meant it's indicative of the couldn't care less attitude so common these days. I would have still made the comment if you had posted in the "hats for sale" section. (If there was one.) bang bang birdy
I got my marlin 357 on guntrader as there only seemed to be two for sale in the country at the time, I had a eight hour round trip but was very happy with my purchase ( marlin 357 CP) I have also sold a gun on guntrader. A painless experience and would use again
