kennett
But we aren't talking about drink driving, or even being drunk. We are talking about a few ml of sloe gin to pick your peg, and maybe a couple of glasses of fizzy.
CharlieT
Intemperate habits has always been one of the grounds for refusing a firearm certificate. 2 drink-driving bans has been enough in some cases for losing a SGC. This topic is now becoming rediculous. To suggest a couple of thimbles full of sloe gin when drawing ones peg equates to an intemperate habbit beggers belief. Your scurrelous comments do nothing but make you appear foolish and are, quite frankly, an insult to those of us that do.

A chap who I used to shoot with, has been banned for drink driving twice, the most recent time he was driving home from a shoot. I don't need alcohol, but perhaps you do. Dekers
Good grief! There is a world of difference between turning up, or driving away from a shoot plastered, to a nip or two out of a flask during a frost laden shoot. Whilst there is an argument that any drink may impair your actions, the Hip Flask had been an integral part of a shoot as long as there has been a shoot, and I'm struggling to see the issue of moderation. Lets keep this in perspective.
