Guest stevo
was today at Nottingham and district as some of you know I started clay shooting few months ago , and today was my first registered shoot well ............... it was cold , wet , and windy haha now keeping in mind ive never shot there before and also my first reg shoot on DTL , I was quite excited to say the least . my bubble was soon burst , the rest of the squad came out Leanne Powell ............... ( England DTL team ) . blooming hell I thought Ian coley............. ( mbe England veteran's team and Olympic coach ) OH you got to be joking ! dave hinchcliffe ................ ( England veteran's team ) now this is taking the **** haha so no pressure then , after we all cleared our guns , I just put my head down and tried not to think about the company I was in , was hard though I have to admit . I missed 3 birds all together 2 of them were just straight lack of concentration 1 bird ( my last one ) had my gun on it and the wind that was gusting , just dragged it out of the air ...... missed I was a bit gutted with that bird but that's life . had a great afternoon though . and the experience of shooting against these people was AMAZING to say the least I shot 97/289 with my CG sporter and came second out of squad , mr hinchcliffe done it with a 99/ think he had one second barrel

Konnie
well done, i don't clay shoot but dealing with the pressure must be a large part, as once you get going it's split into class's once you get going as i understand it. Hope you kept the card and wrote the comp on it.

figgy
Stevo your not really over choked as the constrictions are depending on your bore diameter slightly tight half as 10 thou is 1/4 20 thou 1/2 30 thou 3/4 and full is 40 thou if your gun is over bored your closer to 5/8 U3 and 7/8 U4 about right I'd say for tarp bashing. How did you manage to stay awake for 100 of them Well done some good darts sir Shot a charity shoot this afternoon and a fella was shooting sporting with super full and super full in a Kreighoff. I think it equates to solid slug and solid slug at normal range clays. Edited December 6, 2015 by figgy

grrclark
Good shooting Stevo, to go out on such a dreich day and more than hold your own in top class company is excellent work, let alone on your first registered shoot. Stevo how'd you do in the FITASC you shot. That's my favourite sporting shooting, not very good at it but love to shoot it. I agree with that Figgy, had my first taste of FITASC this year and thought it was brilliant, bloomin' hard mind.

V8 90
I'm gonna try norm , I'm dying to have a go of that DT10 of yours mate , and just to say hello to you It's going to Nigel Teague next week to have Multi chokes fitted if all goes to plan. I have a DT10X that I want to try before I spend any money on mine, if the DT10X ticks all the boxes I'll be selling the DT10

V8 90
I have the choice of spending around £500 having mine Teagued or buying the DT10X which is obviously already a Multi choke then selling my DT10 on. Trouble is mine is so nicely balanced, nothing else I've picked up feels like it.
