JDog
My great buddy Bounder the Border has been suffering of late. He has dribbled for months and his breath became unbearable so away to the vet we went. It was obvious to both my untrained eye (and nose) that he had rotten teeth and possibly an abscess but it would have been a braver man than I who would have attempted to investigate whilst he was compos mentis. He was booked in for an operation under anaesthetic a few days later. When I picked him up after his operation the vet told me that he had taken out eleven teeth! He had taken so many out as he was unsure exactly which teeth were hiding the abscesses. Poor chap. Two weeks on and a ten day course in pain killers (not easily administered) he is as bright as a button again. For a thirteen year old dog he has come out of all of this remarkably well. walshie
That's a great Christmas present for your little mate. Toothache is just the worst thing ever. He must feel so much better now.
loriusgarrulus
He will be so much better for it. Our Pug cross had a load of teeth out recently. He is so much happier and healthier for it.

Whitebridges
The ol' fella looks a bit grey with age. I'm sure he'll bounce back though. My father-in-law had five Border terriers at different times going back to the fifties. Through him I got to know the breed. In truth they were never very consistent but great companions and seriously good hunters, especially squirrel.
