Rst1990
Thank you, I'll have to take my chances and limit my search to those who have idea of the size of an 00 gauge Flying Scotsman then as the model hasn't arrived yet so I cant measure it ! Once it arrives measure it! My friends parents used to run a small model shop, so if I had measurements I could ask them for you. Dekers
Could I suggest a small wooden shelf and a clear acrylic or polycarbonate box that drops over the top? The actual display case can be bought ready-made so you then only have to worry about a shelf, which need be nothing more than a small plank of whatever you like the look of. All of the ready-made ones seem to cater for more than one model. To go for a custom-made one is going to be expensive so consider what you would like in an ideal world and what you would be happy to put up with. http://www.luminati.co.uk/display-cabinets-cases/customise-a-display-case/ Nick Unfortunately that was the problem I was finding and hence the reason for my op. felly100
Divide that by 76 and you're there. I'm surprised people haven't argued that you should of gone 'n'or 'o'guage instead.

Indeed, and what a saga this is turning out to be. Its not for me anyway, its a present for someone mad into their trains, hence why I simply want a wall display cabinet for this one engine and tender...00 gauge!
