You only need one referee for a SGC,get a mate to do it for you :good: not 100% but I think they must have known you for 2 years

You can get your GP to act as your referee but they charge,i think the going rate around these parts is between £50-£80,so best to get a pal to act and save a few quid :good:

Anyway get it in for renewal soonest because once it expires they will make you lodge your guns with a RFD (at your cost) or with a mate with a certificate.Hampshire my licencing office like it in 8 weeks prior to expiry  I missed the 8 weeks by 2 days and they refused to issue a temp cert :/ BB

Anyone not known to the police & who is of sound mind, they dropped the Dr,lawyer, etc bit, that has known you personally for at least 2 years, can counter sign. Renewal or application so the fact they left job is not important the fact they know you is. Someone you see once a year for 10 min is no good, someone you see every couple of weeks for a few hours much better.

It's a lot simpler now, you just fill in a downloaded form and name two folk, with details of how they can be contacted. The Flo contact them etc and then visit you and complete the forms, going over what you used to have to fill in past years, like a small 20 minute interview, then look at your guns and that's it, way simpler than getting things countersigned and a letter filled in and sent back separately and photos signed etc.
