foosa
First time out properly this year was last night, ended up with 2 dog fox and three vixen, these two came as a pair, bit of a left and a right sort of thing!
WelshMike
Nice one buddy, thats a fine start to the year. How much ground did you cover to catch up with the 5 and are you breeding them to keep up your high numbers?
foosa
Ha! No definately not breeding them, due to the weather, work and a very nasty bout of man flu just after the new year I've not been out much, second time since mid December I think and round ere they soon fill up any vacant territories. Last night I would have covered about 8-900 acres mostly driving and calling, all bar one last night came to a home made tenterfield type call. It would have been six but a rushed shot at a fox I was not expecting to be where it was( closest one of the night at under 50 yards) sent the 39 g blitzking ploughing up the bank behind it and left me kicking my self and muttering about having to break out the night vision now! Nothing worse then the man flu. Nothing worse then missing the easy ones as well...but we have all done it. I missed one at about 20 yards off a fence post but managed to hit him when he stopped at 70 yards . Keep up the good work mate.
