VULTURE
Hi I noticed that two boxes of supposedly identical carts have different length carts in them, both sets of carts have 73mm printed on them, both the same makers Game bore magnums. The longer one is 76mm long. Any one see this before? See pic below. . Cheers. Vulture Edit for spelling. Andy H
Is there a deeper crimp on the shorter one.
VULTURE
No although one is a crimp the other is cardboard or paper with number 6 printed on it obviously the shot size. Cheers

Cheers I'm guessing the RTO finished one (with the paper top) is the longer of the 2 ?

dipper
A rolled turnover is always longer than a crimp because r t o needs less case to close. Dipper.

Floating Chamber
When you fire them, measure the length of the fired cases.
m0t0deb
73mm is the length of the case when fired not crimped or rolled.
fenboy
73mm is the length of the case when fired not crimped or rolled. I would normally agree but if he has correctly measured one at 76mm it is not going to get any shorter during firing !
bluesj
I would normally agree but if he has correctly measured one at 76mm it is not going to get any shorter during firing ! That being the case i would say both are wrongly marked.
