matlee123
Hi guys, ive just been given a Baikal U/O 12 bore that hasn't had a huge amount of work. I've got a issue with it not ejecting the bottom cartridge properly.... It tries to eject it but it only ejects about 10mm out of the chamber. when i close the gun it seems extremely stiff to completely shut I know that the Baikal's are " rough and ready " but id like to rectify this issue if i can . Any help would be great and much appreciated Regards Mathew
old man
Mine is like this if I open it slowly and part way to catch the cartridges as the ejectors can't function properly. Opened as it should be they work a treat. Maybe worth a try?
matlee123
Ive tried that also and it wont eject that way .... ive got a Rizzini and compared to that the Baikal is extremely hard to shut and stiff. Theres no obvious scratching and burrs any where.
James1983
No lt had a baikal but can the ejectors be switched off? Always worth working through the simple stuff first.
matlee123
yeah the ejectors can be switched off by turning two screws and ive done that.... Ive tried to remove the ejectors by pushing them down and twisting them like ive been shown previously but i cant seem to remove them. Could it be something internally that restricting them ejecting correctly?
wisdom
When you push the ejector are there similar pressures from the springs

Moblies
Are the chambers nice and smooth, a light oiling perhaps, have you tried different cartridges.
matlee123
chambers are spotless.... and ive cleaned it and oiled it over and over and wiped off any residue... ive put rio's 32g 5S , gamebore 28g , nobles 30 6s and 32g 5s , some fox cartridges , lightest clay cartridges i had as well and it wouldnt eject any. when i shut the gun with or without any cartridges it just seems to stiff as if its to tight.
