billytheghillie
keep the canopy on it, looks like a works van without it.
Royboy
I know what you mean but I just think It looks more like a pick up without it, I was thinking of putting canopy back on when it's shooting season and leave it off over summer
scotslad
Trans K9 make good 1's too as do CAB. But not cheap. Also know a keeper got his joiner mate to make 1 out of timber and painted it with shinny gloss paint, even up close looks just like a trans k9 box Depends wot u need the back for but lose mpg with no canopy on and also means u have a canopy kicking aout on the deck getting in ur way. Depending on ur canopy type but can be a pain to get on/off and watertight again if watertight now.
Royboy
The backs just for the dogs really, it leaks like hell ! Ha
kent
Very against these plastic CAB boxes design personally Heat sink properties are very low in black plastics Ali is great ( I know that sounds daft but honestly think airstream caravans in the southern USA ) not that you should leave a dog in one but what do you do in a motorway jamb etc? There is a firm in Clitheroe called NJ aluminium that do them, had a look at making such with my own firm but there isn't a big market ( so many think £200 is a lot to spend when good ones should be double that) and the likes of those mentioned and trans K9 do a very fine job (look online at their set up at trans k9 its a pretty awesome manufacturing set up )

figgy
Bit of bailing twine round it's collar tied to a tie down loop like the farmers do, no canopy required dog won't overheat and can see everything. Gets a bit windy if you drive fast.

Royboy
Well I've bought my self a CAB box but now need to mount it on the back, I don't really want to drill holes through the back, is there nobody on here that's fitted one ? Royboy
I was thinking of a fan, but I won't be leaving them in there for long periods of time, if I go for a long drive I'll be putting the back on but I'll be only using box for going to my shoot and thats less than half a mile, I wouldn't put my dog in and danger, he's part of my family

Black plastics that can be easily melted and welded thier thermal conductive rates are that poor should be outlawed imo
