well i picked up the wmr this morning went for a go at some targets to try a few rounds out i picked up,

being a bit breezy had to try find somewhere a bit sheltered for a spot along a rape field with a good hedgerow to sit along though i could only get 90 yards before i was open to worst of the elements,

tried winchester 40g

cci maxi mag's

and hornaday vmax 30g

after about 70-80 rounds it settled a bit though the winchester and cci i couldn't get that great a groups with but the vmax not too bad

this was last 10 shots at 90 yards off car wing mirror

:good: the trigger was done in shop when i picked it up i didn't check to see if barrel is floating so will look at that though i am happy with group as it is a new gun knowing that it should settle down after a few hundred rounds

My Ruger loves Remington 33gr V-Max and there 33gr Accutip-v, handy as they both shot to the same point of aim and clove leaf. I did use Federal 50gr and still have some, but only use them at the range to play with.

There's no rhyme or reason to it, is there? Mine hated the 2 you mention, but loved the RWS. The Federal weren't up to much but were superb in the little Anschutz.

Col, I could not believe the difference I got in groups size with a wider range of ammo and a zero balance between differing loadsvonce I got that barrel well off the wood!

So easy to do too!

Also consider some fmj CCI. I think Henry krank can send it directly to you!

interesting will look up Henry Krank,

how did you float your barrel did you sand wood or use plastic washer's i used washer's on both 452 synthetic stock's

You know me mate.

I cut a thick plastic bottle to make shaped washers with a hole for each screw.

It just lifts the barreled action out the stock.

I knew I was onto something when zero was way off after doing it and groups size lost flyers!
