Lloyd90
Ok a few things I would appreciate some help with if anyone knows please 1) Light striking, a handful of times today the rifle would strike the 22lr case but not fire. Maybe happened around 4-5 times in 200 round approx 2) Not ejecting, the bolt would with draw the empty case from the "spout" but 1 in 5 times not eject it from the chamber 3) the cheek piece was a bit low and sometimes my head was lifting off the stock in-order to get a better sight picture, assume I should look to get a cheek piece riser to keep my head fixed in one place? Thanks for your help with these matters lads Lloyd
steve_b_wales
The first two issues sounds like the bolt mechanism is gunged up. A Beartooth comb raiser kit would cure the second one.

Lloyd90
Strip & clean the bolt, and clean the extractor claw channels with a pipe cleaner ought to sort out 1 & 2 Is that simple to do ? Instructional video online by any chance ? PS thanks for the tips , especially Steve as I intend to pop to the gentleman who you recommended before to have the barrel cut down to a more manageable length! saddler
As above .... clean the bolt. Also.....check the ammo. What brand was it? A lot of ammo related issues can be down to the ammo itself. I.e. does it do the same with other brands? Lots of cheek risers out there or get some closed cell foam & make your own. Not rocket surgery! Even household double sided tape or a neoprene based glue would hold it in place.
team tractor
I've had the same problem in the past and it was muck in the chamber. I cleaned the part the case sits inside and it worked. Loads of videos on you tube how to strip the bolt. The only tool you need is a plastic valve cap I'll add mines doing it with Winchester again but no other rounds. I've shot 1000 since cleaning and will be doing the same this week
