saddler
Is that a modified quote? If so that is bad manners!
Scully
For the full amount ? I hear some people saying they had good compensation during other ban, and I've seen some people say they got shafted! Yes, for the full amount. Why would or should it be any less? I can't understand why some 'got shafted'. I had mine valued by a RFD and received exactly what I claimed for. None of the gun values I quoted were ever disputed. I was phoned more than once by civil servants compiling the details etc, who tried to tell me I wouldn't receive compensation for this, that or the other, but I insisted as I was forced to surrender my handguns I had no desire to keep any other shooting related equipment. I compiled a list of prices from the shooting mag's of the day and submitted that, for items such as speed loaders, holsters, custom grips, spare magazines, press, dies, shell-plate carriers, brass, heads, powders, tumbler etc etc, but never claimed for the items I kept. Get your AR15; you'll love it. Edited June 14, 2016 by Scully
Lloyd90
Fair play Scully although I'm sure you'd have rather kept your belongings! Well with that worry out of the way, it's the small matter of spending £5,000 on a gun and not having the girlfriend murder me with me to get around 😬😂

Katash
Seem to recall Robert Bucknell saying the best Fox rifle he ever had was an AR15 variant.

She either hasn't noticed the new pro sport air rifle I've got the other week or she is purposely not mentioning it at the moment so I'm keeping my head down mate 😂 I'd love to own one although probably won't be anytime soon at that price! Bangbangman
Do they all make lever release or is it only SGC ? Only SGC make lever release. There is a VZ58 "trigger-release" (MARS) around, imported by Caledonian Arms, I think. I have a SGC straight pull in .223Wylde and a Hera Arms in 300Whisper, which Dave at Valkyrie did for me. I'd go with Dave at Valkyrie or Mark at Bradley Arms if I was buying a new straight pull. If you want a lever release, Bob at SGC is your only option, and it ain't cheap! Lloyd90
That's a shame as Valkyrie seems to get a good rep. What I have read about SGC is a bit hit and miss. Certainly cornered the market, when the AR15 in America can be picked up for around $600-800 for standard ones he must be making a tidy profit off that line. Although who knows how much it cost to develop etc. Certainly stops people rushing out to buy one however. Some people saying they thought the £1350ish they paid for the 9mm lever release was fair.
