oowee
Out last night on the sheep farm. Potted a few rabbits. On the way back spotted a fox in the far field. I tried calling it but no response. I would like to tell you I called it in from 1/2 a mile and shot it at 200yds but....... I dipped down behind the hedge sneaked up on it and shot it at about 50m It was busy chewing on a pheasant.

FOXHUNTER1
Had a fruitful trip out on my own the other night..... 1st call next to a small wood , jackrabbit distress call pulled in a fox within 5 mins but it sat on top of a dry stone wall it jumped back off the wall so I switched call to the pups call , the fox came straight back and into the field this time but tried circling me. I gave it a lip squeak and it stopped , dropped this dog fox at 150 paces. I continued along the top of a banking lamping below me and couldn't believe what I saw ......a fox up a tree. Anyway the shot was safe , another dog fox Ended up with a 3rd dog fox which just sat there totally unconcerned Driving out the farm I spotted another fox ,,,,,,I pulled over but due to the quagmire of **** in the gateway was forced to shoot off a fencepost and missed it Never mind still happy with 3. Brilliant Now I do wonder whether this is yet again another post which aims to detract from the founders reputation as there seem to be fair few foxes up trees of late. I am of the opinion that you can **** off Lovely presentation as usual Mark and sorry to hear of the miss. All in great condition as usual. Nicely done
oowee
Well done Mark a great night out. Looks to me like they are the same tree climbing strain as those found with the wild men of wales? I had to make do with a few mixed black today (and a token pigeon). Rabbits tonight i think.

racing snake
Good shooting chaps, good to see the thread ticking over with a steady stream of foxes. Sad to say I'm still a tree fox virgin Nice gun Grant . . . .would look the muts nuts with a jeweled bolt . Have you thought about getting the bolt fluted? Had a quick trip out last night to a farm that was getting some grief from a fox. Someone had already managed to make it both lamp and call shy so and it was starting to cause havoc. Just sat out and waited for her, only had to wait half an hour before she came through the hedge in front about 150 yards. Goodnight. FOXHUNTER1
I never used to look for the tree dwellers but now I think on the nights I don't see any they are hiding up trees ...... oowee
Fri and Sat night in for the lambs in field by my house. Used the fri night fox as a decoy for the magpies. Put it up the field with a magpie in its paws. It worked and I bagged a couple with the FAC air. Zeroed the new rifle ready for first outing Monday

Dougy
This one ran into a Fox mating call. I missed the direction that it came into the field because I was watching a load of baby rabbits about 20yds in front of me, they where the size of a mug, cute little things. I was after another couple of Fox's that just won't play ball, not interested in any calls and always stay just out normal range (I think I will take another tool next time) Watch this space
oowee
Nice one Dougy I had one playing hard ball but farmer got him in a trap.
Dougy
I'll get it this week weather permitting, there'll be 30 grey squirrels and some hoof bait going out. And I think the 260 will have a night out. Jury's still out but that's still favourite at the moment.
racing snake
Nice work Dougy. Well, he took his sweet time! But after a 4 hour sit and wait he finally decides to make an appearance. Sharp lad too, ignored the first ewes with single lambs and went for the first one he saw with twins. Dropped him during the Mexican standoff with the ewe.
