rovercoupe
After a good weekend reloading I am coming to the last of my shot stocks and my lead pile is allmost gone. Where should I be looking for lead to buy some in? Being in tight yorkshire no doubt I will have to pay a high premium if I went to a scrap dealer! TONY R
Not as plentiful as it once was with changes in wheel weights, but tyre centres have a scrap bin this is an option, Any plumbers they save it get them to stock pile it for you and buy off them regularly. or buy in reclaimed shot its cheap enough and good enough for pigeons. Imperfection
Befriend a window fitter as they often replace flashings.
sitsinhedges
Just go to your local tile or slate roofing company and they will have loads from refurb jobs. You can usually get it at dealer price so find out what your local scrapyard is paying first.

Vince Green
Chat to a few local plumbers and builders. Actually, scrap dealers are not (technically) allowed to sell you scrap believe it or not. I don't know why, probably some stupid EU regulation that was imposed on us Edited June 29, 2016 by Vince Green
rovercoupe
Looks like i need to get some irons in the fire! The scappy i spoke to will sell lead but its sold as useable strips of lead not allowed to sell it for smelting as you need a smelting licence. Like it makes any difference once you have left the yard.....
