bunny_blaster
I finished work this afternoon at 3.30 so headed home and grabbed my gear and the .410. I went straight to the pea field I shot at the weekend and found about 50 birds feeding with a strong line over the field. I set up with a dozen shells and soon had the first bird down. The line over the field was very busy but the birds were more interested in an area in the distance than the peas. Over 2 hours I managed to pull a few birds close enough and finished with 21 pigeons. In hind sight I should have moved round the field and shot the flight line but I was happy enough watching the amount of birds coming down it from where I was. Walker570
Which of the chokes did you use? I ask because I have just tried some 3inch Lylevale 5 fibre and they were all over the place with full 1 , but with the 111, half choke I believe that is, the patterns were excellent at 30yrds and penetration was still first class. The Eley Bismuth were best in full choke as were my non toxic reloads. Edited September 9, 2016 by Walker570

Walker570
The pile of pigeon seem to support my experiments. Nice one. I will let you know how that combination performs next Thursday at the partridges.
