Adge Cutler
A few months back I traded in for a 10 plate MK 2 Sportage XT 2.00 Diesel 4X4. Just wanted to give anyone looking or a utility vehicle with good 4x4 capability the heads up on what a super motor it is. Its roomy and spacious, the engine is willing and fuel consumption excellent ( I am averaging 38 - 43 ) and on a motor way trip to Plymouth last week got up to almost 50. The gear box ratios take a bit of getting used to though and its seems to pull better in 4th than third. It doesn't have a low range like the Subaru but does have 4wd lock which is very useful..its quiet and swift enough for my sedate needs ( where can you drive over 80 these days anyway ) I've tested it on the local 4x4 test track that Suzuki use and it did everything I asked of it. What really attracted me to it though was the full main dealer service history and 18 months remaining of the 7 year warranty. We were looking at Freelander, Suzuki, VW another Subaru and a Shogun but this shaded it for me.. It didn't need a service or MOT but I paid for one at the local Kia dealer and they replaced the PDF, front drop links and bushes and part of the gear linkage all under warranty. !!! I didn't even know there was anything wrong with it. !! wouldn't get that from the Krouts without a fight would you ? Not only that but it looks like a utility vehicle and not a okyahschoolrunshoppingmobile All in all a super piece of engineering and great value. I think I will keep it a couple of years and trade it in against the new model. Edited September 28, 2016 by Adge Cutler
shaun4860
My sister has a 16 plate non 4x4 model It really is a superb vehicle, the interior finish is high, very well equipped throughout, Bags of room and very practical, There are loads on the road around here so that must say something, Mate of mine is after a used one, around 1-2 years old, 4x4 and automatic, and there lies the problem, The dealer has told him they are like hens teeth, He will just have to keep searching, Our dealer is an independent so doesn't have the nationwide network to draw on
Vince Green
Kia and Hyundai generally are very good vehicles and a bit underestimated. People used to look down on the early models but you never hear anything bad said about them

Thunderbird
I've got a 66 plate Sportage 2.0 GT Line AWD on order, about time I treated myself. Contract hire, at the figures through the business it's a no brainer. Looking forward to it.

norfolk dumpling
The rental company I work p/t for has a number of Kias and Hyundais and i must say across the range there is not a bad car. Took a new Merc A200 out yesterday and then a Kia Ceed to another customer and I much preferred the Kia. Sportage is a lovely motor but if I get the funds I would seriously look at a Santa Fe. £38k for the top of the range but unlike the Landrover equivalent you sort of feel you are going to complete your journey!! A couple of our drivers have had Disco Sports breakdown on us. Mine just decided to break and stop halfway across busy lights.
Jay_Russell
Our part time keeper has a kid sorrento 57 plate I think it is. Must say I'm very impressed where that thing actualy gets and on standard tyres. Apart from service, tyres etc it's been a faultless 80k miles for him.
