ElvisThePelvis
Any suggestions for this? I am aware of the NGO course but to be honest this probably goes too far for my purposes, I ask not looking to sell meat into the food chain just to improve preparation and to know what inspections should be carried out, thanks. ElvisThePelvis
Have a word with a butcher, for a fee he might teach you what you want to know Funnily enough I tried that but the butchers close to me buy their game in from a dealer

scotslad
Must admit if its just small game i rarely check anything, other thn common sense checks like if itlooked unhealthy or really skinny. Slightly different with deer but again very few are unhealthy really

I've done the NGO course , it's just basic stuff and worth doing and on a plus note it gives you your game handling ticket if you do want to put game into the food chain ..
