Penelope
Ruddy Shelduck. Most likely an escapee from an ornamental wildfowl collection. Edited December 13, 2016 by Penelope

anser2
Penelope, is 100% correct , its a ruddy shielduck. There were quite a few in Norfolk including a few breeding pairs until the last couple of hard winters we had about 6 years ago. Most ether died of migrated south and only odd birds present since. The do look a little like egyptian geese and are related , but smaller with short legs. Quite common in wildfowl collections and i suspect that's where this bird is from.
