margun
Hi all, Apologies if this is a bit vague. A friend has a side by side 12 which neither of us have been able to find anything about. It's got gold writing on it 'T Miller Maker', Stockton on Tees. It's boxlock with quite interesting top lug/lock arrangement. Can't find any on the net about T Miller boxlocks, only an auction for a 10bore hammer gun, which had a reserve of 200-400. Does anyone know of this make? History, etc?

panoma1
Pictures of the gun and proofmarks would be a good starting point!
Gunman
I have no listing . More than likely a retailer ie. an ironmonger or chandler who sold a few guns made with his name on . Bear in mind there were not the imported guns that we have now .Probobly Birmingham made .

panoma1
It appears there was a Thomas Miller who was an action and lockmaker, who's business was at 151, High Street West, Sunderland in circa 1874
matone
Could have been someone who was involved with Wanless, they traded in Sunderland and Stockton too. There was a sports /gunshop in Sunderland called Miller up to the 1980`s too but don`t know of their history. Feltwad
Thomas Miller was a top provincial gunmaker whose business was 16, Norfolk Street Sunderland from 1876 to 1894 .He moved to 35 William Street , Stockton on Tees in 1894 I have examined several of his guns all hammer all top class equal to the London and Birmingham makers . One of his guns sold at Holts last auction for four figures Feltwad
