Recommended Posts

Just discovered this series on Netflix , about a guy who harvests his own meat, halfway through the first episode and he's stalking moose and catching pike! Well worth s watch from what I've seen so far..

watched em all, the chap has a good attitude to hunting, very interesting and like all hunting it doesn't all go to plan.

I've been watching the series on Netflix and find it really interesting. I am especially impressed by the bag limits and the general ethos portrayed, it isn't gung ho at all, which given the way Americans are made to appear in the press etc. is a breath of fresh air.

Also watched them a while back. There is another series similar on there where a american guy travels to a lot of different countries on different hunts. Cant remember the name but will have a look tonight and report back if I find it

Shame Netflix never took more series as availability elsewhere is patchy

Just seen that a new series is coming on the 2nd of October ?

The other on on Netflix is called “the hunt” I believe but it is a guy that never stops talking, mostly about himself and how amazing he is and loads of product placement but if you have a spare couple of hours you could watch it.

Just search on Netflix for hunting and a few programs pop up

Really! I thought Meat eater was bad enough with Vortex optics and First light camo splashed on everything.

Sounds a bit like field sports channel on YouTube! They don’t miss an opportunity for a bit of product placement or advertising.

Almost as bad as the magazines, none of them worth reading anymore, every other page is all adverts 😞

20 pages of in-depth reviews in Rifle Shooter this month, written by me with BALANCED opinion and negatives published as well.

Fair play mate, so many reviews these days are just adverts in disguise.

I don't begrudge it, but the product placements or adverts are just so blatant at times you can't help but cringe.

Agreed, although the whole thing is a bit cringey really, maybe that’s their thing!
