Stanley gibbons is the most famous Steve but don't put to much hope on good value on stamps when I was young everyone collected them nowadays it's a dying hobby and all the stamps I collected are worth peanuts now you will always get the odd couple of valuable ones but I was well disappointed just got to look on ebay and see how cheap they go for nowadays

I know a stamp dealer, he lives in a big house in a private road near me in one of London' wealthiest suburbs. The stamps he sells now go to investors not collectors but I take your point, its a shrinking market.

I'm not expecting them to be worth tens of thousands,(be nice though) but would to know anyway. Some of the stamps are sets, eg, 1944 Falkland Islands, unfranked. I also have a few that have 'error's on them, which are supposed to make them worth more.

I'll arrange to visit London later this year and see what's what.
