as i understand it and i will admit to not having read anything about it trumps ban is temporary and for a few select countries,so the rest of the world cries out what a bad man he is,well as far as i recall the uk voted to leave the eu mostly on the grounds that theere was to many migrants from many countries only our ban will be permanent.but the rest of the world seem fairly quiet about it.politics a funny old thing.

But we will not be 'banning' people who have a legitimate reason to come here. For example have been through a vetting process and have a visa. And it won't be targeted on any particular country.

So we go back to how it used to be.we let in who we want and refuse those we don't.they have to have a visa and stick to the rules of entry.much like the current system in the USA.and make no mistake the brexit vote was all about a few countries and the flood of economic migrants from them.so in a way selective.

No one is 'banned ' from the US ,the vetting process has been tightened for a limited period.

If youre going there with a visa ,and have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about ,bar a small delay.

As above in the last 12 pages ,do not believe what the media tells you !

And I wasn't saying that the US had 'banned' people although, initially, there were reports of people with visas being escorted off of planes.

I was simply stating that the UK won't ban people.

the uk has a long list of banned people, one is a u.s. talk show host who was banned under the brown government, he was lumped in with all manner of undesirables.

10 minutes of your life for an insight into alternative reality. :)

I have thought this for a long time they want to do away with cash and get us all using electronic money this would give the powers that be full control over everyone it would not affect me as I am old but the younger people I say if you can always try to keep a backup of cash at home should at some point there be a problem with using electronic money they will win in the end but it would give you some breathing space.

The protests do seem very selective, to put it mildly.

Indeed.

I see the same old suspects are out in London today. I managed to catch a quick interview on the tv with an American woman, living in the UK at the moment. Seriously, the lack of knowledge about the whole situation is astounding. She didn't have a clue what she was talking about... not a clue. She even mentioned the 'Mo Farrah situation'. I'm sure she actually thought that he'd been banned from the US, which of course he hasn't, and never was. As usual though the interviewer (Sky) didn't push her further and left her to wander off thinking she was standing up for the rights of the long distance runner!!
