Mat, I think I will shoot far better with an O/U 10 than the kestrel. I am looking forward to getting out after the pinks already.

I certainly shot better when i used an O/U than i ever did with the side by side 10 ( or even the big 12 side by side i had ). Will have to see if i can get rid of the aya

that's got 250 lead loads built into it as well

I only use lead in my 10

(don't do wildfowling, so no need for any panic)

Loaded a few buckshot for it, but no joy finding any 10-ga slug, or a slug mold, yet.

Federal sell them but UK importers not interested. Typical.

I have two tens already ,i am tempted but its a bit far as RFD are being funny these days about it they want you to send your certificate to the other chap so he can put it on your ticket and im a bit nervous about doing that.

THAT is the 100% legal way to proceed with a distance purchase. It is the ONLY legal way to buy...seems a few folk had been suggesting otherwise.

Don't see the problem. It's how we used to buy guns back in the happy days of the buyer posting direct to your house! Did it quite a few times when buying pistols...never any issues.

If the gun shop sends it to another gunshop then you dont need you licence

I have bout 3 guns since christmas and not supplied my certificate once

Your shop must not have had the "talk to" yet. It's being massively pushed/clamped down on.

Just because your RFD is doing this doesn't mean he's not doing it wrong!

Read the Home Office Guidance notes, the BASC guidance online, etc.

I'm not happy about the change, but it's the law.

It was over 50 years since I was at school so my sums might be a bit suspect? But I get..........Bismuth is £69 per kilo to buy at claygame........if they're 2oz loads? The shot load of 150 of em weigh 300 ozs, which equals 18 lbs 12ozs.....that is 8.5kilo of shot...

8.5 kilo x £69 per kilo = £586 or £3.90 per shell just for the Bismuth!

Add Cases, powder, wad, primer........

A bargain at £2 a cartridge!
