dodeer
Yes but I have been around all locally viable outlets and none stock them. Blackpowder Buy from Just Cartridges then or drive to a county with decent shops

wymberley
There's loads of Pigeon loads in 21/2". Problem is most people don't use old side by side now so most stuff is made in 23/4" I ask because I don't know. Would they be true 2&1/2 (65mm) or 67 or 67.5mm? Most 67mm- seems the English produced are 65mm like Pigeon Special , where as Fiocchi or RC are 67mm etc
panoma1
So apart from the printing on the case, I take it no one knows of any difference? The consensus of opinion seems to be that there is no difference, therefore it is fair to assume it is solely a marketing con!.....I suspected as much! The only way to be certain is to do a controlled mortality trial involving 1,000s of shots which isn't going to happen. For all practical purposes at the more normal ranges, as per the posts above. But I do believe that a better quality shot will come into its own at the more extended ranges while remaining applicable to any given shot size. The only way to check what you've got is to open a couple up to see what's what and then go to the pattern plate which isn't going to happen. So, yep, "no one knows.". Would they be true 2&1/2 (65mm) or 67 or 67.5mm?I'd heard that 67mm carts are fine in English 2.5" chambers. Not true in mine. I dropped a shot TT1 in and it was as couple of mm proud. ChrisPCarter
Try Fiocchi PL28, PL30, PL32 they are excellent game cartridges at pigeon prices IMHO. They are all 67mm suitable for 2.5". I use the PL32 5's for pigeons and crows when they are a bit further out from the decoys and they knock them flat. They are a step up from the basic Pigeon range and all Italian sizes so half a size bigger. Available from Just Cartridges or about £50 to £60 a slab at other dealers. http://www.justcartridges.com/cartridge-info/FI/Fiocchi/ If you want some "posh" game cartridges try their Golden Pheasant ones they are superb. As good as Black Gold but smoother and far cheaper.

It's nitro proofed so expect it complies with regs but will measure. I was concerned with the extra muzzle pressure if the spent shell extended past the chamber on an old gun. Have used CompX carts with no ill effects. Edited April 20, 2017 by Mr.C

I would think squeezing the wad past the case mouth protruding into the forcing cone would increase breech pressure not muzzle pressure? Correct, after trying to post from a train on my phone many times confusion reigned
