North Somerset Bird of Prey Centre

Recommended Posts

I visited the above yesterday and had a great day there. Not only are there the usual birds of prey, but also many mammals. 'Crocs R Us' also attended the day and I had some photo's taken holding some Crocodiles (small ones!)

Here's a few of the photo's I took.

Steve, We're in the Orkney's the end of July and start of August, and in Gollies cottage off Glenboggle (monarch of the glen) till the tenth of August. Driving home on the 11th, so if your coming over then, then tea at Shooting Eggs I think. If it's after that I'd be very pleased to meet up and have a brew with you, either way I think we can show you some Somerset hospitality.

My mate owns the whole site there at Congresbury and lives in our village about 400yds away. He also has in the village the national collection of passiflora if you like that sort of thing

The next open day at the bird centre is August 27th. I'm hoping to visit there again, but it all depends on getting the time off work. I can request the day off, but nothing is guaranteed. If I do manage to get the time off, I'll be in touch and hopefully we can meet up. :good:

great photos steve, wish id taken my camera when I went away recently.. got some nice pics with my phone but phone pics will never be that good

Thanks Steve. Some mobile phones have excellent camera's built in, but you can't beat a DSLR. My wife moans at me when we go away, because I'm carting my camera/lens etc with me. But she's the first to admire the photo's I've taken, when we are back home.
