16BoreFan
Anyone done this? I have picked up a cheap auto with worn wooden stock and fore end and am toying with the idea of going to Halfords and getting a tin of black or khaki spray paint to smarten it up. Would this be ok? Followed by a Matt laquer? Just after a cheap diy option

Danger-Mouse
A mate of mine had an old sxs sprayed, albeit by a professional, he had it done to resemble wood and it looks fantastic.
Rewulf
Or there was that Gorilla camo tape at Aldi? Not sure if it was matt though, less elbow grease ,if you could put it on nice. Edited May 8, 2017 by Rewulf
Walker570
Did this with a rifle many years ago and eventually it wore away, but it looked good even then.
snarepeg
Have just sprayed an old air sporter stock, started of grey, then to green but ran out so now a blue. Metal work sprayed Matt black and it looks very smart and tidy if quirky. Just another experiment, can always go back to normal.
jasper682
Why not try hydro dipping. Easy to do in your shed/ garage lots of finishes. Look on YouTube for vids. And fleabay for cheap film and fixer etc.
