Ricko
Hi, the electric shower has packed up. The neon indicator on the isolator is lit, the neon indicator on the shower unit is also lit. No water is coming out at all. Can anyone suggest anything else to check? Cheers
team tractor
Replace it. Electric showers are terrible and last about 2-3 years . What make is it?
Ricko
It's a Triton, the one downstairs is 15 yrs old, this one is 5 yrs old. If there's nothing else to check I'll just screw another on. The location doesn't lend itself to any other type of shower.
team tractor
Mines a triton tz80 I think it's called. I get down one every 2-3 years as said. Mine just clog up and stop but we are in a limescale area. Ring triton and buy one direct. Last time they only wanted £90 out of me The model I have is used by councils as it's able to be piped from any direction inside so they keep them in stock Edited June 9, 2017 by team tractor
Cosd
Easier just to replace. False economy throwing any money at it.

Cheers Hello, have changed mine shower when did same although it is a housing property, ricko if you live in a hard water area look at the scale reducers, they do make a difference, i do not mean the expensive ones, my sons flat i put a magnetic type under boiler when i lived there some 10 years back and kept boiler clean, and recent put 4 on cold water inflow under sink, Edited June 9, 2017 by oldypigeonpopper
inthedark
I had these symptoms once with an electric shower, turned out that one of the terminals in the isolator switch wasn't screwed in tight enough.
Rupert
If you swap it be mindful of the KW of the newer model and the size of the supply cable.
Hastings1052
As said, cheap as chips now, just get same wattage. We had old one, lasted 16 years. New version,on second in 4 years.
NorfolkAYA
I had a triton and would not recommend them. Very poor quality. I paid a little extra and bought a aqauliser. Great unit
vampire
Replaced a tz and now replacing it after two years, think they just burn out and stop working, cheaper to just replace, change a few during the course of a year all makes.
Cosd
Better off getting a plumber to fit a shower head with mixer to hot and cold. Higher initial cost but cheaper in the long run.
Ricko
Access not good to fit extra pipework for mixer type etc. FUBAR it is then, new one ordered for Monday. Thanks to all for input. Cheers
