mick miller
I have a set of these at home, they were free gifts included with another set of clamps I bought but appear unrelated and, as far as I can tell, utterly useless. I have kept them for several years in case I ever worked out what the hell they were for. Sadly I haven't and so before I commit them to the scrap bin at the dump I thought I'd have one last go at trying to identify their purpose and post a picture on here for the pw massif to muse over. I will add that the package was poorly wrapped, there's every chance an additional item that may have made sense of these clamps fell out in transit. armourer103
think it is just a giant C clamp, thumbscrew goes on the table and the handle tightens up, should be a thumbscrew stop to go with it, hope this helps.
ditchman
looks they might be useful with a set of sash clamps.............sometimes if you are glueing something big with the sash clamps ...the item might bend in the middle as you clamp it up.....those things you have got would slip under the sash clamp and then you could screw them in to straighten the curve under the clamp........ anyway thats what they look like...........very useful dont throw them away ... Paddy Galore!
I don't think they're for sash cramps, they don't have a very deep clamping face, I did my apprenticeship in a joinery and never saw anything like that, to prevent a bowing board the cramps would be rested on blocks, not the material surface, then turned over and cramped the other side too. figgy
Looks like paddy nailed it, cramps for making panels in a jig. Could be used many ways if you make a jig in a shape you want.
manthing
Like ditchys idea but look more like something to turn an f clamp into an edging clamp. One of these https://www.screwfix.com/p/irwin-pro-clamp-speedclamp-8-200mm-/91381?kpid=91381&ds_rl=1245250&gclid=CjwKCAjwmefOBRBJEiwAf7DstHoWXMxN44yzUjFQpBE93HhZQ39BfaQ6O6s2dpl2uRPSnAoPWYnEExoCtsUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CMvezJCv4dYCFcatUQodHU0CYA If you don't want or need then I might be interested. KB1
Normally used in woodworking, and usually are part of a 'kit' including a bar with fixed clamp end…… And if I'd taken the time to read 'Manthing's' link, then I would have seen that he's already supplied the answer
mick miller
I think I know what you mean, so handy if adding a trim to a worktop edge or similar?
